We invite manufacturers to partner with us for developing new products and processes — not incremental improvements but changes at the first principles level. We cover the entire ecosystem to enhance current portfolios, create new categories, or invent entirely new ones. We prove the working principle — then walk the journey with you as partner and consultant alike.

Not Detail Engineering. First Principles.
The difference between incremental improvement and invention

Most product development work starts from what already exists — refining, optimising, cost-reducing. PlaniN starts from a different place. We ask: what is the fundamental principle this product is based on, and is that principle actually the best one? In most cases, the answer reveals a better first principle — one that produces a product that is not incrementally better but categorically different.

Our role is to cover the entire ecosystem — materials, manufacturing processes, user behaviour, market context, adjacent technologies, regulatory environment — and synthesise these into product concepts that can enhance the current portfolio, create a new product in the same category, or invent an entirely new category that did not exist before.

Our partnership model — PlaniN proves the working principle and validates the proof of concept. We then invite manufacturers and partners to take it beyond that point — and we stay in the journey as both partner and consultant, hand-holding the transition from validated concept to manufacturable, marketable product.

Products born from first principles — each a demonstration of what the partnership model produces

These are PlaniN's own product innovations — each beginning with a question about first principles, each validated as a working concept. They demonstrate the kind of thinking we bring to manufacturer partnerships.

Cleaning Products
ZER'O
Cleaning without chemicals. Pressure without size.
Conventional cleaning products use flat surfaces — maximising contact area but minimising pressure. ZER'O's cylindrical form radically reduces the contact area, multiplying the pressure applied by the same force. The result: faster, more effective cleaning with no chemicals required.

Thermal Comfort
Vehicool / HomeCool
Evaporative meets air-conditioning — maximum economy.
Sustainable, energy-friendly, cost-effective cooling for Indian homes and vehicles. A first-principles rethink of cooling economics for a climate where evaporative cooling is viable for significant portions of the year — integrated intelligently with conventional air-conditioning.
Energy Efficient Indian Climate Hybrid Cooling
Personal Safety
Panic Button
Active personal safety — not passive signalling.
A rethink of personal emergency response — moving from passive alert systems to active intervention design. The first-principles question: what does the person in danger actually need in the first seconds, and how does technology serve that need rather than delay it?
Personal Safety Emergency Response
Health & Protection
Active Disinfecting Mask
Not just a filter — an active pathogen killer.
Two layers of oppositely charged copper with a dielectric separator. The mask does not merely trap bacteria and viruses in the air — it actively kills them through charge interaction. A fundamental shift from passive filtration to active disinfection.

PINS
Private Inter Network Storage — your own nano data centre.
A first-principles response to the cloud centralisation paradigm. PINS creates nano-scale data centres at the individual or organisation level — restoring data sovereignty without sacrificing accessibility. Geography and ownership become meaningful again.
Data Sovereignty Decentralised Private Network
Sustainable Materials
NoP — Not Plastic
Compostable. Structural. UV-stable for 6–9 months.
Corn starch-based nursery bags and fertiliser capsules that withstand UV for 6–9 months — far exceeding conventional compostable alternatives that degrade in 3–4 months. Controlled degradation timeline without compromising structural performance or composting ability. Slow fertiliser release included.

Digital-Physical Networks
Signal Gated Networks
Geography is the relevance. Place is the network.
Proprietary algorithms and devices that blur the boundary between digital and physical worlds. Activities, services and people connected to a locality become part of a signal-gated network — making geography the primary dimension of digital relevance rather than a secondary attribute.
Location-Native Proprietary Algorithm Digital-Physical
Daylighting
Suntrap
Sunlight for light-starved spaces. Plumbing reimagined.
A new category in building services — piping natural light to areas that have never received it: internal corners, below-ground spaces, pipe shafts and dark corridors where pathogens breed. Suntrap makes daylighting a plumbing problem with a plumbing solution.
New Category Daylighting Health Infrastructure
Education
Conceptors
Physics and Chemistry through diagrams, not memorisation.
Free Body Diagram workbooks for physics — building conceptual foundations through visual problem-solving rather than formula memorisation. Chemistry workbooks using ball-and-bond colour diagrams. Designed for kids through teenagers. Say no to mugging; say yes to understanding.

What PlaniN Brings to a Manufacturer Partnership
From first principles to proof of concept — and beyond
Discovery
Ecosystem Coverage & Opportunity Mapping
We map the full ecosystem around your product category — materials, manufacturing processes, user behaviour, market adjacencies, regulatory context and emerging technology — to identify where the real opportunities for first-principles innovation lie. This is where new categories are found.
Core
First Principles Analysis
Every engagement begins with the question: what fundamental principle is this product built on, and is it the right one? We trace the product back to its physical, chemical or behavioural first principles and ask whether a better foundation exists. This consistently reveals innovation opportunities that incremental thinking misses.
Output
Proof of Concept — Working Principle
PlaniN validates the working principle through proof of concept — not presentation decks but actual demonstration that the new first principle works as theorised. This is what we hand to the manufacturing partner: a validated concept with a clear path to product development.
Partnership
Hand-Holding Through the Journey
After proof of concept, PlaniN stays in the journey — as partner, as consultant, as the innovation thinking behind the engineering development. We are not a handoff-and-exit innovation lab. We walk the product from working principle to manufacturable, marketable reality alongside the manufacturer.
Outcome
Portfolio Enhancement or New Category
Depending on the innovation, the outcome may be an enhanced existing product, a new product in the same category, or the creation of an entirely new category. PlaniN's ecosystem coverage and first-principles approach make all three outcomes possible — and we target the highest-value outcome for each partner.
Process
Product Process Innovation
Innovation is not always about the product itself. Sometimes the manufacturing process, the supply chain design or the delivery model is where the first-principles opportunity lives. PlaniN covers process innovation with the same rigour as product innovation — and often finds that process and product innovations compound each other.

OEMs & Manufacturers Seeking Portfolio Innovation +

Manufacturers with existing product lines who want to add genuinely new products — not variants or line extensions — to their portfolio. PlaniN's first-principles approach finds the innovation opportunities that internal engineering teams, working within existing paradigms, consistently miss.

Startups Seeking Working Principle Validation +

Early-stage companies with product ideas that need rigorous first-principles validation before committing to full engineering development. PlaniN's proof-of-concept work answers the fundamental question — does this working principle actually work? — before expensive development begins.

Category Leaders Defending Market Position +

Companies that lead their category and want to ensure that first-principles innovation does not come from a competitor first. PlaniN's ecosystem mapping identifies the first-principles threats to an existing category leader — and the innovation responses that turn those threats into opportunities.

Investors Seeking Innovation-Validated Opportunities +

Investment firms and family offices looking to identify product innovation opportunities with validated working principles before committing capital. PlaniN's proof-of-concept validation provides the technical foundation for investment decisions in product innovation ventures.
